About Me

I have been where you are now (well not EXACTLY where you are now because that would be weird. I’m definitely NOT a stalker!) What I mean, is that for most of my adult life, I have lacked self-confidence, suffered from imposter syndrome, and I had as much self-worth as a gnat.

I grew up in an unhappy and violent environment within a strict and forced belief system. A system that was so oppressive and massively misaligned with my own values and beliefs, I saw suicide as my only way out. Fortunately, I didn’t take that route and left when I was 18. What I took with me though, was a plethora of limiting beliefs and labels of being “damaged” “bad” “sinful”.

I listened to the “Gurus” who preach that all the magic happens when you step outside of your comfort zone. That all you have to do is go to where the fear is and you will become an unstoppable, successful badass! I continuously pushed myself outside of my comfort zone.  I spent a large part of my adult years living a nomadic lifestyle, moving from place to place and country to country, trying my hand at everything from teaching English to dealing roulette.  I manifested everything I focused on but despite my ability to achieve my goals, the magic never happened. The AHA moment never came and any happiness I DID feel, had the longevity of a kite in a windless sky. No matter what i did, or what I achieved, I could never shake off the feeling that everyone was in some way better than me. So how did I finally let go of these limiting beliefs?

Well, it was a massive trauma in recent years that turned my whole world upside down and thrust me onto an unwitting journey of self-discovery.  Through the betrayal, humiliation, failures and illness I finally had my aha moment. The one simple truth that would enable me to finally break free from the jaws of victimhood and bravely own my story. It was the realization that the fundamental key to true success and happiness is SELF-BELIEF. No, NOT self-belief that you are capable of achieving BUT self-belief that YOU ARE WORTHY of achieving. There is a BIG difference. Self-confidence is NOT competence. We are all capable and we can all achieve but until you know your value and your worth, you’ll have more lasting success bringing water up from a well, with a sieve! The good news is that you don’t need “Johnny” to say that nobody puts you in the corner. You already know that, don’t you?! (What’s that, you say? You’ve never watched Dirty Dancing…? Go. Watch. Now!)

Credentials

I don’t just have a very real (non-polarised) backstory that journalists were beating my door down to publish. I’m also an inspirational speaker (trained) and co-author of the bestselling book, Unstoppable Women  where I spill the beans on the story I buried for years. I’m a certified and accredited Master Practitioner of Hypnotherapy, Time Line Therapy™ and NLP. In 2021, shortly after my father passed away, I became a Reiki Practitioner. This soothing modality gave me the strength to get through some dark days. Despite the titles I am NOT a therapist. No, I’m NOT a coach either. I get it. The whole world and their dog is now a coach (eye-roll).  I’m part woo woo, part science and probably part crazy (let’s face it, who isn’t?). I love to help people move the needle FORWARDS, by sharing my own experiences whether it be through speaking, writing or my free downloads.

Fun Facts

My philosophy in life is to live it in the same way we are encouraged to eat a nutritious balanced diet – with as much color and variety as possible! I’ve run two half marathons, raised money for charity by skydiving, trekked the four-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, and ridden a toboggan down from the Great Wall of China.  I live in the UK with my awesome son and wonderful partner.
